What is Join TFG / TFM?

Join TFG / TFM is an integrated initiative within the BioIncubaTech Project that rewards students with the best final biotechnology bachelor’s and master’s degree projects focused on:

To participate in the program you need

• That your TFG or TFM is focused on the application of biotechnology in the agri-food or health sectors.
• Having carried out the defense of the TFG / TFM in any university institution in Galician territory, including both public and private universities, in the last 3 academic years (provided they have finished before 09/30/2021).
• That your TFG or TFM be written in Galician, Spanish or English.
• Have obtained a grade higher than 5.

Awards

In Join TFG / TFM we distribute € 3,600 in prizes, € 1,800 in each category.

• 1st prize: € 1,000
• 2nd prize: € 500
• 3rd prize: € 300

Join TFG / TFM phases

Registration

The registration period will remain open between 05/24/2021 and 09/30/2021, after the end of this, the BioIncubaTech Project technicians will verify that all documents meet all requirements

Assessment

The evaluation committee will evaluate the works received and on 10/20/2021 we will publish the finalists on the web.

Presentation of the TFG/TFM

  • The finalists of the Join TFG / TFM program will virtually defend their work before the evaluation committee.
  • The presentation of your TFG / TFM will take place during the month of October 2021.
  • The organization of the Join TFG / TFM program will inform the finalists of the characteristics of the defense.

Awards

Throughout November 2021, we will hold an official event where we will announce who the winners have been.

Join is an initiative within the BioIncubaTech project, a High Technology incubator for the promotion of innovation and transfer of biotechnology in the field of health and food technologies, led by the Area of ​​Valorisation, Transfer, and Entrepreneurship (AVTE) of the USC, together with the Santiago de Compostela Chamber of Commerce and UNINOVA, and is co-financed by the Xunta de Galicia through the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN). In this sense, BioIncubaTech is one of the initiatives that is included in the Biotechnology Consolidation Strategy that the Xunta de Galicia has launched for the period 2021-2025.
